Congratulations to Dr. Pam Jarrett, Dr. James Wagg, Dr. Bryn Robinson, Dr. Neil Branch, and Trauma NB ‘s Dr. Tushar Pishe, Ian Watson and Susan Benjamin who have been named NB Health Research Foundation (NBHRF) Researchers of the Month. This was for their work to help better treat one of the most common issues seniors face: hip fractures. “Hip fractures in older adults is a leading cause of injury for many seniors. It often leads to long stays in hospital and potential decline in function after the hip fracture,” says Dr. Pamela Jarrett, a geriatrician at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Saint John and one of the researchers involved in the project.”<\/p>\n
